Pub Note: hard to believe but the first issue of WordBiz Report was published 4 years ago on July 21, 2001. If I can offer one takeaway for e-newsletter publishers... Persistence and consistency pay off. Keep at it!
And listen to your subscribers. They're smart and honest and have lots to teach you. At least that's been my experience. Thanks, as always, for reading. - Debbie

The five articles below have been winners over the years with WordBiz readers. You won't find obvious links to all of them from my site so you might want to hang on to this anniversary issue.
They cover effective online copywriting, marketing with e-newsletters, coping with spam filters and blogging for business.
How to write a sexy teaser
Top tips to write a persuasive case study
7 nitty-gritty tips to publish a monthly e-newsletter
Top 20 definitions of blogging
Clip & Save Guide to avoiding spam filters (updated)
More in the oldies but goodies department

To Blog or Not to Blog... That's a Good Question by Debbie Weil (August 22, 2001 in ClickZ.com)
Speaking of anniversaries...
Jacob Nielsen's Alertbox 10th anniversary issue
Usability guru Jakob Nielsen marks 300,000 words and the tenth anniversary of his bi-weekly column started in June 1995.
His anniversary issue reminisces about the Top Ten Mistakes of Web Design (they still apply) and notes progress we've made in improving Web usability over the past decade. Always a good read...
